The title of this page is misleading as the content only refers to affinity control for OpenMP using environment variables.
The page should be called "Affinity Control with OpenMP 4"
There is much more to pinning: Other Threaded Programming models, MPI pinning (Intel, OpenMPI). Hybrid MPI+X Affinitiy control.
